These pre-cut tape tabs are replacement tape for tape-in hair extensions. Each pack holds 60 double-sided tabs, already cut to [SIZE], so every piece matches the weft. No scissors, no measuring, no uneven edges. We use tabs like these every week at Art Hair Extension in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong, where Tony has fitted and maintained tape-in extensions for 30 years.

Why Choose Pre-Cut Hair Extension Tape Tabs Over a Roll?

A roll suits stylists who cut tape to many sizes. Pre-cut tabs suit anyone who wants speed and a neat finish.

  • Every tab is identical. Straight edges sit flat, so the bond is stronger and nothing shows at the root.
  • Faster re-taping. Peel, place, press. A full head of wefts takes minutes, not an hour.
  • Less waste. No offcuts, no guessing.

Need odd sizes for toppers or lace fronts? Our double-sided hair extension tape roll lets you cut your own.

Features of These Pre-Cut Hair Extension Tape

  • Strong double-sided hold — grips the weft and natural hair so extensions don’t slip.
  • Clear and thin — blends at the root and sits comfortably against the scalp.
  • Water-resistant — handles showers, sweat and a humid Illawarra summer.
  • Clean removal — lifts off with adhesive remover and leaves no sticky residue on the weft.

How to Re-Tape Tape-In Extensions With Pre-Cut Tabs

  1. Remove the old tape. Apply adhesive remover, wait a minute, then peel the old tape off the weft.
  2. Clean the weft. Wipe away residue and let it dry fully. Tape won’t bond to an oily surface.
  3. Apply a tab. Peel one liner and press the tab onto the weft, lining up the edges.
  4. Refit. Peel the second liner. Sandwich a thin section of natural hair between two wefts and press firmly for a few seconds.
  5. Leave it 24–48 hours before washing, so the adhesive can fully bond.

Pre-Cut Tape Tabs: FAQs

How many tape tabs do I need to re-tape my extensions?

Each weft needs one tab. A full head usually has 20–40 wefts, so a 60-pack covers one to two full re-tapes. Count your wefts before you start.

How long do replacement tape tabs last?

Hold depends on your scalp oils, products and how you wash. Keep oil-based products and heavy conditioner away from the roots, and avoid swimming in chlorine or salt water where you can — both weaken tape bonds.

Can you reuse tape-in hair extensions?

Yes. Good-quality tape-ins can be re-taped and refitted several times. Remove the old tape, clean the weft, apply a fresh tab and refit.

Are pre-cut tabs better than a tape roll?

For standard tape-in wefts, yes — they’re faster and give a cleaner edge. A roll is better when you need custom sizes for toppers, lace fronts or fine hairlines.

Do tape-in extensions damage your hair?

Not when they’re fitted, maintained and removed correctly. Damage usually comes from pulling tape off dry or leaving extensions in too long. The American Academy of Dermatology explains how to prevent hair damage from extensions. If tape doesn’t suit your scalp, micro bead extensions use no adhesive.
